You might get more attention in the Graphics community. What is the display and how old is it? More information about your system would help a lot, including the motherboard and operating system. With no information the only help would be to record your BIOS settings if you have changed anything, and remove the CMOS battery for several minutes. Put the battery back in and enter BIOS to restore your settings using F2 (?).
Edit: Of course if this does not fix the problem you will not be able to enter the BIOS to restore any settings unless another display works on the system.
