I have an Intel E7400 installed in a DG41RQ motherboard on Windows 7 64-bit. I have the CPU state in Power Mangement set to 100%.
When I run CPU-Z it shows that my speed is 1600 with a multiplier of x6.0 and 266.6. How do I change the multiplier to obtain the rated speed of 2.8 for this CPU. I can't find the setting to change the multi in the BIOS.
OK, so I think I answered my own question. I left the CPU-Z window open and then opened some programs and I noted that the multiplier jumped briefly from 6 to 10.5 Guess the CPU throttles down when not in use.
