Thanks for joining the community.
I am sorry to hear that have had issues with your computer.
I understand touch pad does not turn off by pressing some function keys.
I think this problem is not related to the chipset driver or SM BUS.
Please bear in mind this might be a hardware problem as well with FN+F3 key.
I would recommend re installing the operating system and making sure you obtain all drivers from your computer manufacturer.
Here is some information about SMbus controller:
thanks for your fast reply.
Not only can I not turn of the touchpad via Fn+F3.
I cannot turn of the touchpad at all, also not over the control panel
Neither is the touchpad listed in the list of my hardware divices.
Its like the touchpad is not there....still its working
Another exactly the same laptop at my job, has the FN +F3 button working
Here the Bus driver does not show "not installed".
How can I be sure i installed the right Bus driver?
It should be under the chipset drivers right?
If you could Please confirn that I did indeed install the right driver (as listed above in my original request the filename of this driver was: "Chipset_Driver_Intel_USB3_A01_W732W764-SETUP_ZPE").
I only wanna reinstall my oprating system drivers if really neccessary.
Namely I have to ask my boss to do this
Kind regards Tom

I regret to inform you that I am not familiar with Chipset_Driver_Intel_USB3_A01_W732W764-SETUP_ZPE because this appears to be proprietary from your computer manufacturer.
I know our latest chipset driver is called SetupChipset.exe and the version is 10.0.13. You may want to try to install that version:
