I would think that the problem is "Unsupported version of git (1.9.0)".. You seem to have probably multiple versions of git installed; during the manual intervention you used a higher version of git than during the bitbake run. Delete the git kernel repository, run the fetch for the git kernel repository with the "older" version used as well in bitbake....
In fact git >= 1.9.0 does not work... Please downgrade you git.. If you are using ubuntu you will have problems with PPA and the git available in the repo.. You can do this procedure for release 220.127.116.11
tar -zxf git-18.104.22.168.tar.gz
make prefix=/usr/local all
sudo make prefix=/usr/local install
This is an unfortunate issue... Please use this workaround until we have the permanent fix.
