Intel HD Graphics issues

Hello, recently I've been having some issues with my Intel HD Graphics 4600. These issues first occurred when I installed the optional update called:

(Sorry it's in picture format)

I installed it with Bitdefender, after when I restarted my framerate dropped in games and buttons that change colour when you hover over them, they took longer to change colour, for example:

This became annoying very quickly, I uninstalled the whole driver and reinstalled it with Driver Booster, that didn't work so I uninstalled it again and I tried to install it again but downloading the drivers only from the Intel website, this has lead me to another problem. When I installed the first base driver (Driver Version: 10) and then tried to install the update for it (Driver Version: 10 to 15) it didn't update when I restarted.

If you could please help me I would be most grateful. Thank You

Thanks for the information. I would like to know, have you tried uninstalling the antivirus? Have you tried a system restore to a previous point where the system was working fine?

Can you try searching for theses updates (Microsoft) and uninstall them?

I have not tried any of those suggestions, if you're suggesting that reinstalling the antivirus would fix that graphics issue, it's not only the antivirus it's also Steam, and as I said FPS(Frames Per Second) drops in games etc. And which updates are you referencing?

I meant to say that If the system was working fine before installing the software you mention previously a system restore can take the unit to a point where it was working fine since the 3rd party software can be affecting in some way.

You can also try with a BIOS update from the manufacture or testing the drivers provided by Asus.

I installed a BIOS update. When I said

"if you're suggesting that reinstalling the antivirus would fix that graphics issue, it's not only the antivirus it's also Steam" after I installed the BIOS update Steam became more responsive graphically, BitDefender has stayed the same. Does the system restore delete files which you created since?

It will not delete files but if any program was installed it probably will be deleted if it was installed after the restore point.

There is a new driver version you can try. Here is it:

Apart from that everything stayed the same.

Testing the driver from my side the version is the correct one. In any case, you can also try the manual driver installation. Here you have the steps:
