If you are able to get video at any time, please try to remove all Graphics driver and try to boot again.
Dear sylvia_intel, I have exactly the same system and exactly the same problem. Can you please give me direction to find a solutions? Any driver update in win8.1 and now also Win10 gives me the black screen of death. Even while updating only the graphic driver the screen suddenly goes black. Please help!

The driver in the link is the one I’ve tried and that gave me the black screen while installing.
