I just replaced my motherboard and cpu and this is the first time I've ever had an intel cpu. I was immediately alarmed by how quiet my entire computer was even under heavy load. I decided to do a stress test and monitor my temps and they as soon as I began a stress test on prime95 they went from 23-30 to 70-80 in a matter of seconds. before I upgraded I could clearly hear my fans kicking in when the workload increased but now my entire computer is as quiet as a laptop even with 100% load on all 4 cores. the cpu is going over the maximum safe temp by a few degrees and the fans stay quiet, I have no idea if this is normal or not since I've never had intel hardware before. should I be concerned about 76-80 degrees during full load?
I understand you need information about processor temperature.
At full load the processor will increase temperature, this is normal. Your processor is running under specifications and there should not be nothing to worry about. Please bear in mind the processor has been designed to work under heavy load conditions without affecting performance.
If you think your processor is running hot, please take a look at this link:
