Atom Z670 & Windows 8/8.1

Dear Intel, is it possible to get drivers supporting WDDM 1.2, so we all who bought Intel CPUs Atom Z670 not so long ago and got no driver updates can continue using our devices? The CPU is well capable of running latest Windows versions and the lack of drivers leaves all of us, who bough tablets with this CPU without properly working product. It doesn't look too good for Intel to abandon customers after 1 generation of OS.

My tablet is Latitude ST (Atom Z670, GMA600 accelerator).

I understand you are looking for Intel video driver supporting WDDM 1.2.

At this stage, driver support for your product is only offered through your computer manufacturer. I recommend checking the link below for driver assistance:

Hi Allan,

thank you for quick reply. I know, that I should ask for the specific device support at the manufacturer, but they will quite logically tell me "Intel doesn't have the driver, sorry".

I really think, that it wouldn't be such a big thing for Intel to release the drivers, as the device is pretty much capable of supporting it and is well capable of basic HW acceleration. At the same time it wouldn't hurt new device sales, it would do the opposite - users would see a great support for people, who use company's product.

I also have a new laptop with integrated Intel graphics and I hope, that it won't be obsolete in two years, when some new Windows version comes and needs a little bit different drivers.

With tablets this is really important, as the price for new device isn't so low and you can't simply swap the video card for example.
