Dual processors: X5680 and a different one. Which one?

Hello!

I am building a gaming rig on dual Xeon processors. I couldn't have two X5680's at once, so I bought one. The problem is I can't find another one at a reasonable price in my country now. Is it possible to mix it with another Xeon? If yes, which are compatible?

Hi Neverwinter,

I am sorry to hear you are having problems but let me help you with this.

It is important to mention that when using a dual processor configuration (server) the processor must be the same (model and spec code). In the case that a different processor is used, the system will only detect one.
