Abbas, the following link will provide you the information about the chipset version that your system has.
Since you have an OEM system I would recommend you to contact Lenovo in order to get technical support.
If you want you can remove the CMOS battery and leave the system without it for a couple of hours. Then, try to update the BIOS again.
Thanks for your reply but the info on the link are not relative to my situation, and lenovo sent me to intel as they told me on the following ticket I have on their site that the motherboard is an intel board so for that reason any technical details on the on board component need to be asked to intel. now I have tried google and searching the intel web site for the board detail I have and what they gave me but I found nothing really.
Not sure if it will help but these folks can usually identify your bios chip.... badbiosflash.com ..good luck to you..
Abbas, I doubt a Bios version for an Intel motherboard will work for you since they were create for box units and your motherboard is an OEM system. The support for BIOS, drivers and software should be given by the manufacture of your laptop.
Intel®, provide the hardware to the system manufacturer and they will design the drivers specifically for their systems. Due to this, you can try our generic drivers but it is recommendable to install the driver from the system manufacturer side.
Issue remains open I am waiting on the bios chip to be delivered but it is new meaning never programmed?
Now here is the question where can I get my hand on the program that needed to be inputted into the chip?
Winbond W25Q16BV SIG
Thanks for any help.
