Hello Rboerner, according to the latest news we received, this NUC should be available sometime this month (December).
There is not a specific date.
In regards to the price, that is information we do not handle. Sometimes, it is publish on the following link ARK | Intel® NUC Kit DN2820FYK , but not on this case.
Alas my new DN2820FYKH is not playing ball. Firstly it doesnt support Win7 which is a pain. A yellow A4 note in the box says that non-EFI OSs will soon be supported...great...how long do I have to wait?! I dont want to use Windows 8 - terrible OS, so user unfriendly.
Anyway, so Ive been trying to install Win8 and it takes many attempts for the BIOS to recognise the usb optical drive, even when it does it struggles to recognise the Intel 530 series SSD. And when I try to install Windows on it, I get an error (ill get the exact wording which is seemingly unhelpful) and the SSD disappears from the list of available disks.
This is my 2nd NUC. My first i3 NUC from the previous generation was fine, this one is garbage so far.
I have the 2820 plugged into a Panasonic 42S60 plasma and I have over scan with Windows 8.1 64 bit edition. I am running in 1920 x 1280 and there is no way to change the over scan.
Does your tv have aspect adjustments? When I installed my first NUC I thought something was wrong because I had an overscan problem. I eventually found it wasn't the NUC it was my tv, which was set to stretch the picture. I cycled through the aspects and found the correct one (dot-to-dot) and the picture looked correct.
That was my first thought, and no joy. It isnt caused by the Panny's settings
