Hi, i recently bough a brand new computer (each part separate) but it keeps crashing when i play or run any fullscreen app like youtube, 3d or gaming, i need to hard reset my computer by pressing the power button for like 5 seconds to be able to use it again.

I ran some tests on memtest and prime95 and no errors showed up.

i have a 550w psu that used to hold a gtx260 before the gpu died, now i'm using the hd4000

here is my config

DXDIAG: http://pastebin.com/4RXxrEis http://pastebin.com/4RXxrEis

my bios is updated.

thanks!

Hi execute5150,

There are many troubleshooting steps I will provide but I am afraid that I need to check more information. It seems that I am having problems opening the dxdiag report from that link so, can you please copy and paste your dxdiag report here?

Hi execute5150,

Thanks for the information.

Checking all this, it seems that the driver you have is too old by now. I first recommend you installing the latest driver for your graphics controller. You can download it at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23405&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20(64-bit)*&DownloadType=Drivers https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23405&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20(64-bit)*&DownloadType=Drivers

Besides this step, I recommend you updating the Bios using the driver provided by the computer manufacture. Also you can test a different browser.

My bios is updated

i've tested a lot of different drivers and none of them seems to fix my problem

i only get crashes when i start to play a game, and i've seen plenty of posts with the same problem as me, without any solution like this one
