Hello MattG, I guess you meant “half-mini PCI Express” cards for laptops.
These wireless adapters were meant to be installed by the system manufacturers and require a certification process which involves the system as a whole, including wireless adapter and antennas.
If you have more questions we recommend you contacting your system manufacturer for a list of validated adapters for your laptop in regards of hardware compatibility and approved for your local radiated electromagnetic interference standards and regulatory compliance.
Thanks for the reply, Dell installs the first of these cards and ships me extras to install myself in the 2nd half-mini port on the laptop.
In general, the ideal condition is one wireless adapter per system. Otherwise, please follow the system manufacturer’s recommendations.
