What's the board PBA#, and which CPU are you using?
Start with one CPU and one DIMM. Do you have 3 beeps if you remove all DIMMs? You may also try to enable the BMC Force Update jumper (J1E3).
i have two Intel Xeon X5355 SL9YM 2.66ghz 8m 1333mhz Quad-Core LGA771 cpu's. My PBA is E11027-101. I have tried a single cpu and a single stick of ram and no display still. i do get three beeps with no memory and i have not tried BMC force update because I dont have any display. :-)
Can you try the BMC force update jumper? It disables the BMC function. Sometimes corrupt BMC firmware could prevent the board from booting.
You can also try the BIOS Bank Select jumper (J1C3) by moving it to position 1-2. It allows you to boot from the backup BIOS image, in case the current BIOS image is corrupt.
ok, I tried the BMC force update, still no display and still the same LED code. I really appreciate the help. Is there anything else i could try?
Sounds like the previous owner had a video card in the system and diabled the on-board video console?
Pg 60 of the TPS (http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s5000psl/sb/CS-022619.htm) (photo on Pg 59) explains the process to clear the CMOS back to the BIOS default values.
