Greetings!
Lately I had problems with my graphic driver after Windows 8.1 while playing League Of Legends. I used whoCrashed to get information of the problem.
On Sun 2013-11-17 10:06:11 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\111713-34015-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: http://www.google.com/search?q=igdkmd64.sys igdkmd64.sys (0xFFFFF800020ACA17)
Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0x28, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF800020ACA17)
Error: http://www.google.com/search?q=MSDN+bugcheck+DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\igdkmd64.sys
product: http://www.google.com/search?q=Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R) Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R)
company: http://www.google.com/search?q=Intel Corporation Intel Corporation
description: Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: igdkmd64.sys (Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver, Intel Corporation).
Google query: http://www.google.com/search?q=igdkmd64.sys+Intel Corporation+DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Intel Corporation DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
And down below we have information of the computer..
windows version: Windows 8 , 6.2, build: 9200
windows dir: C:\WINDOWS
Hardware: Aspire V3-771, Acer, VA70_HC
CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3110M CPU @ 2.40GHz Intel586, level: 6
4 logical processors, active mask: 15
RAM: 8399372288 total
VM: 2147352576, free: 192506675
http://sdrv.ms/HZy0Yy Here is the link for the folder including my Crash Dump files.
As you can see I got the error http://www.google.com/search?q=MSDN+bugcheck+DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, I have Windows 8.1 64 bit and I'm pretty sure I have the latest verision. I would be very thankful if you guys can give me a fix because I tried at many forums.tt

Sorry for the other posts this is a TL/DR moment. But I think I have a workaround.
I have been receiving the above error in a BSOD at various points in both Rocksmith and Rocksmith 2014 on my Lenovo Y510p. My desktop PC with integrated Radion worked properly so I just thought it was a windows 8.1 issue. But it appears that is not the case.
igdkmd54.sys points to the Intel HD 4600 graphics card built into the chip set on the Lenovo y510p. For gaming and other High demand applications the Nvidia Optimus software is supposed to switch the graphics to the Geforce GT755m chipset. Apparently in rocksmith and some other games this does not happen and it triggers the BSOD when the Intel Driver flakes out.
Here is a potential work around solution that I got to work so far. The default global settings are Integrated Graphics and well the Intel HD 4600 while not terrible is not the GT755m
Step 1
Open the Nvidia control panel
Click on Manage 3D settings
Click on the Global Settings tab
under preferred graphics processor select "High Performance Nvidia processor".
Click apply
Step 2
Click on the Program Settings Tab
Click the Add button under select a program to customize Select Rocksmith 2014 or any other application that was causing the bluescreen.
Under preferred graphics processor select "High Performance Nvidia processor".
Click apply
A reboot may not be necessary but old habits die hard and I rebooted after making the above changes.
Repeat step 2 for any game that you are experiencing a problem with after changing step 1.
I was able to play for 3 hours with out any issues if anything changes I will figure out the solution and update this thread.
