I have a PC with a Pentium G840 CPU with HD Graphics which I have just upgraded to Windows 8.1 and the display driver no longer works (the PC reverts to the default Microsoft driver without GPU acceleration). According to the following FAQ there is currently no Windows 8.1 driver for Pentium HD Graphics:

Is this support planned and, if so, is there a release date for a Windows 8.1 driver?
Many thanks.

Hi airfrog,
At this point we have just come up with a new driver for your controller for Win 8.1. You can download the driver at the follow link:

Many thanks for the reply. I'm afraid the software download you linked to doesn't work. When I run the downloaded software I get a message saying "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software". The release notes list "Intel(R) Pentium(R) Processor 2000/G2000/G2100 Series" as being supported. I have a Pentium G840 (I believe the G840 is a Sandy Bridge CPU and the others are Ivy Bridge). Is there a Sandy Bridge driver available?
