New XPS 12, Poor external monitor output

Hi Everyone,

I got a Dell XPS 12 a couple of weeks ago and am extremely disappointed in the graphics performance when running in extended mode or solely outputting to an external monitor. Everything becomes fuzzy and the image looses it's amazing clarity when just running from the laptop's screen. I upgraded the machine to 8.1 and am wondering if it's a driver issue? The Graphics chipset is the HD Graphics 4400 and currently I am running Intel Driver 10.18.10.3316. Anyone have any ideas? I don't believe the graphics card doesn't have the juice to run two monitors or even one external 22"...

Hi rsholman,

It is important to say that the drivers we have are generic drivers for your computer. This is because we as Intel® provide the hardware to the computer manufacturers and they will design and create special software for their units.

You can download the generic driver from our side at the following link:

Another good step is to contact the computer manufacturer so they can provide the driver for your unit.
