Some information I can provide you, is that it looks like the actual frequency or latency of the memory is causing conflicts, so I would recommend you to contact the memory manufacture and ask them if these 2 kits can be use to run a dual channel. As you can see, you are able to use them separately, that means they are compatible.
Also check if your board is running the latest BIOS version available.

On what voltages are your RAMs operating? Any OCing?
Are you sure the new sticks are of the exact same model like the old ones? Cause your RAMs have been out of circulation for quite sometime now.
Can you test two sticks of 4GB using only your blue DIMM slots?
I read on Xbit labs that Intel advices not to populate all your DIMM slots. Moreover, if you managed to get a working pair of 4GB per stick you will have better performance.

I believe the voltage is 1.54 volts, there is absolutely no overclocking.
I do not believe I should run the two stick on the blue sockets, as each memory channel has one blue and one white socket. Is this right?

To operate in Dual Channel with one pair you should always populate the Blue DIMM slots.
I reviewed your board's manual, there are blue & black DIMM slots. As per Intel's manual for your board:
"Remove the video card in the Primary PCI Express x16 connector before installing or upgrading memory to avoid interference with the memory retention mechanism."

My two existing memory sticks each read as follows: CT25664BA1067.16FSD, so I do believe the link you provided to NewEgg shows the same memory.
As I have stated before, I am trying to find out if there is a way I can make four of these sticks work in my existing motherboard so I can bring the total RAM to the maximum of 8 GB, perhaps by adjusting some BIOS parameter.
To bring the board to the full 8 GBs, I see no other way but to populate all 4 sockets, the two blue sockets, and the two black sockets, but I had a negative experience a while back trying to do this, as I explained in my first message, and I am trying to find out the reason for this.
