Hello, I have Intel C600 controller with RAID1 configured and RTSe software installed. One of the options in the RAID configuration is Write-back cache. Currently, it's disabled. The RAID1 is comprised on 2 SSD drives
I would like to enable the write-back cache feature, but what would happen in case of a crash/power loss? Does the controller have a battery that will allow for cached information to be written to disk, or will there be a possibility of data loss?
Please note that there is not a feature on the chipset that can prevent data loss when the Write-Back cache feature is enabled. If there is a crash/ power loss the information that is in the cache will be lost.
