    New Motherboard or Windows

    devodevoh

I just installed a new DP43TF motherboard with a core 2 quad processor.  I reused the harddrive out of my previous PC.  When I start up my new PC I get the following:

1 beep while the screen is still black

Then the intel screen where you have the option of accessing the bios

Then the screen goes black and there is a single beep

Then the Windows logo screen appears

The green bar starts to move across the screen

Then the screen goes black again

The Intel Screen where you have the option of accessing the bios appears again

The screen goes black and there is a single beep

      Windows error recovery screen appears

Startup recovery is unable to resolve the issue.  I have run the memory check under advanced recovery options and everything appears fine.  I have also checked the connections on my board as well as removed and reinstalled the memory.  I can access the command prompt and navigate the c: drive so, I'm guessing that the drive is physically okay.

Because the board beeped on startup I'm wondering if there is any point in trying to reinstall windows or if I have a hardware issue.
