I've had my Dell Inspiron N4110 for a while; it came with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 video card. I just yesterday updated to what the Intel driver update applet tells me is the latest version of my driver - 9.17.10.3223 - and I'm having visual problems now. If I close my laptop to make it sleep, upon waking it and entering my password, the screen gets glitchy, loses color, and is hard to read; restarting it fixes it (and it actually fixes itself on the "Shutting down" screen!) For some reason, it doesn't do this when I select Sleep or Hibernate from the start menu and then wake it up, so it's more of an annoyance than anything. Any help? My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and RAM is 4 gigs if that helps.

Try updating the BIOS in your system to http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555/Product/inspiron-14r-n4110 A12 version, this is available here:

Then uninstall the video driver installed, from Control Panel, Programs and features, locate any entry similar to Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator or video driver and remove it. After that, restart your system and try to install the generic driver using the file posted here.

To install that driver, lease follow the instructions on this article:
