It is not necessary to register the product to get the 3 years warranty. Every Intel ® product in your case a processor comes with unique markings. For security purposes I recommend you not posting them here but in case of a warranty replacement, when you contact your Intel® local support they will request for those markings in order to confirm the warranty. Intel ® processors have three years warranty but in any case it is very important to have the receipt.
thank you for replying to my question, i have a retail box brand new, with all the bar codes and serial numbers ect i cannot get a receipt from the seller does this mean intel will not honor the warranty on this without a recept?
You Intel® processor has 3 years warranty. During the warranty process (if necessary) we will check the markings with our internal database and will confirm if it is or not; however, having the receipt will also help us to determine the warranty on the product.
