I bought a Lenovo Ideapad U310 (windows 8, 64bit) a month ago and I already have a serious problem.
every time I boot up my laptop and wait for like 10 seconds, the follow message appears: Your system does not appear to have Intel Rapid Start Technology enabled.
I already checked the BIOS menu and it just says it's enabled, but it's not.
since I get thse messages my laptop is very slow and programs freeze every few minutes, i've been loking for a solution for a week now but i can't find anyone who knows how to solve this problem.
I contacted various helpdesks, but none of them was able to help me.
I really hope someone can help me out, because I need a fast laptop for my work and i'm already falling behind
Lev, would you please check if the SATA mode is set as RAID? If the SATA mode was not on RAID mode, once you change it, it would be necessary to reinstall the operating system.
Also check if your system complies with all the requirements http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/rapid_start_technology_user_guide_for_uefi1.pdf
Here is some information I found on Lenovo’s website. If you need to change anything on the BIOS, please uninstall the software previously installed. http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?
Then, download the software again and install it.
