The Galileo Board has a nice feature that is the mini pcie slot.
This feature enable a lot of devices to extend the board functionalities.
Unfortunately at this time only the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 135 has drivers built into the clanton linux disto.
It is clear that somebody at intel made the job of compiling the distro, so it would be great if you (intel) provide infos (tutorials, howtos) on how to recompile it, so we (the community) can add support for most of our devices that already has support in the linux kernel. Otherwise at the moment we are forced to switch to another linux distro thus loosing support for the built-in arduino functionality. Thanks.
It would also be nice to have a location on this site, maybe a WIKI that we could collect those devices that we have used on the board, with recipes for how we got them to work, and also those devices that did not work. What I'm looking for is a one stop shop for deciding what building blocks others have used and had success with to minimize the thrash of uncertainly when designing a new project and deciding what components I would use to accomplish it.
Seems exactly what I wanted. Many thanks!
