DI plan to build a new PC, I want to use discrete graphic card in the system, I will not attach monitor to the onboard graphic.
I read the HD 4600 is OpenCL 1.2 compliance. Which sounds interesting to me.
If I have a discrete graphic card, can I use the HD 4600 for OpenCL accelerated applications? Or the HD 4600 becomes completely useless?
As soon as you connect a PCI card to the motherboard the onboard graphics will be automatically disabled unless you use software that allows you have both graphics cards running in your system. So basically you can check if your motherboard supports switchable graphics and if so, you can use the Intel® Lucid Virtu if it is Intel® motherboard or a 3rd party software.
Just in case, you can get the Intel® Lucid Virtu at the link:
