I really dont think that there is a way but some cpu coolers are verry good looking and ther dont have leds try buying this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200035
p.s. i just checked the type and it works for that cpu!
Best of luck
I have the Extreme heat sink as well and found the light to be distracting and frankly useless (listen up Intel, if you are going to light it please put a switch on it too). I disassembled mine and unsolder the led's. If you remove the fan from the heat sink there is a bit of plastic tape covering the bottom bearing. Remove the tape and you will find a clip. Using a clip spreader remove the clip and the fan will separate from the windings. Now you can access the led's and remove them.
