You should ask the mainboard manufacturer Intel for a BIOS with updated Intel Management Engine Firmware. A firmware of the v8 series should be available for your X79 mainboard.

By the way: The latest Intel Management Engine Interface driver, which may work with your system, seems to be within the Intel ME package v22.214.171.1245. You may try it.

I did indeed manually install the ME driver found inside the ME package and it worked great! I doubt Intel even wants to bother much with updating the now old X79 system boards, plus they are washing their hands of making system boards from here on out from what I have read, so the 8 series chipset boards will probably be their last. :/
