Based on your description, I would like to advise you to use the SSD on the SATA ports 0 or 1. If The SSD is used in a different SATA port is possible that TRIM may not work as expected. You can check the following link for more information:

about ports 0 and 1:
maximus 6 formula ports are numbered 1 to 6
besides, i use 4 sssd's in my raid-0, so not only 0 en 1 (or 1 and 2)
I upgraded bios 0714 with latest raid orom, satadriver and gopdriver, but still no trim.
Nobody to help?

I would like to suggest using and older version of Intel® Rapid Storage such as 11.7.
If further assistance is needed please indicate the operating system and the method you used in order to find that TRIM is not working.
i also have tested irst driver 11.5, 11.6 and 11.7 but none delivered trim on raid-0 on my configuration.
i tested trim with
- trim-check 5.0 tool
- hex-editor method
in my opinion there's compatibility issue between Z87 chipset and sandforce 2281 ssd-controller.
I removed the sandforce-based raid-0 and created a new raid-0 of 2 samsung 840 pro's.
now trim works perfectly.
so there's an inconsistency between sandforce 2281 controller and z87 chipset under windows 8.
also, trim on single sandforce drive under z87 with windows 8 does not work.
intel and lsi (sandforce) should together solve this problem.
It is specifically related to the controller in the SSD itself since the Intel® Z87 Chipset provides TRIM to the Samsung* SSD.
