First of all, I was not able to find in our website the BIOS version you tried to install on the board. The latest BIOS available is the 2209 version.
Could you please provide me the current BIOS version?

In regards to the memory issue, could you please provide me both memory model numbers?
The complete bios version is BGP6710J.86A.2209.2012.0717.2302
The memory model is as follows:
Corsair XMS3 DDR3
1600MHZ 4 GB (2X2GB) 9-9-9-24
I tried removing the cmos battery and leaving it out over 1 hour but it did not result in the system recognizing the additional memory. I brought the 8 gig sticks back already so I don't have the model number.
Do you remember which was the BIOS version installed before you updated it to the latest version (2209)?
Could you please try one memory stick at the time, testing each DIMM, just to make sure all of them recognize the memory you are putting on?
Unfortunately I don't have the previous bios version. I tired one stick at a time and the bios recognized that there was a decrease in ram to 2 gb. I switched the sticks around to the blue DIMM 1 and DIMM 2 slots and it didn't make a difference. I installed the sticks back in DIMM1 and DIMM2 and am back to 4 GB.
When you tested one stick on each DIMM, were you able to boot? I just need to know if there is a defective memory DIMM or not?
Because if it is, you would need to replace your motherboard.

Yes, I was able to boot with each of the sticks in each of the blue DIMM slots but the machine only showed 2GB for each stick.
The processor is an Intel i7-2600k
My recommendation will be to test the memory on another computer just to make sure the other system reads the memory sizes correctly.
