Hey
I have a brand new computer with an Intel 4600 graphics in. Wen I connect my 30" HP ZR30W monitor through DVI, it wont show more than 1280*800 in resolution.
I have downloadet the newest drivers and so on.
What can be wrong?
Best regards
Andreas

I don't see anything wrong here. Intel graphics/motherboards don't support Dual-Link DVI which you need for the 2560x1600 resolution. Single-Link DVI can do only up to 1920x1080 or 1920x1200.

Hello Kronborg,
I have been trying to replicate the issue from our side and so far we have not been able to reproduce it. In the meantime, Can you post here also the Graphics Driver report?
This can be found by opening the Intel ® Graphics Control Panel > Options> Information Center> Save.
This report will help us for our investigation. Also, Can you please confirm if issue persists while using another DVI cable? Are you using straight connection (no video adapters)? Are you using single display, Dual Display or extended? Can you please up(Tue, Aug 06, 2013, 09:33:21 AM) the BIOS in your system?

As Yups says, Intel Motherboards/Graphics do not support Dual DVI, so there is no problem.
I can't send you graphic reports, because I now use a graphic card, a radeon 7750 club 3d, and now I can get the right solution, 2560*1600.
But I can confirm, that the problem was the same with a nother Dual DVI-D cable. No video adapters. We updated the Bios today, so I do not know which bios we used that day.

Did you even get this figured out? I have a ZR30w as well, and can't get the Intel 4600 to show even 1920x1200 which the monitor does support on DVI. Only shows 1280x800 like yours. I'd like to at least get the 1200p resolution till my new video cards come in...
Thanks

Based on the monitor specifications you should get higher resolutions. Can you try another cable? Sometimes when using low quality cables, is difficult to get higher resolutions.

Sorry for the delayed response, I got the new cards much faster than I thought so I never bothered going out and buying a new cable to test.
So I still don't know if it will work, but doubt it as the cable I used was almost brand new.

The thing is that when using cables we must be sure it fits correctly and it is not loose. Also sometimes cables are broken even when they are new so it is a good idea to check if possible with another cable.
Let me know if it works once you test it.

I made sure it was tight and it works fine with these new cards and before, so don't think it has anything to do with the cables.

Do you want the 32 or 64bit dxdiag?
I don't have the Intel drivers installed as I am not using them/the onboard now as I mentioned so I don't have the Info Center to do that with...

I can give you the 32 or 64 bit reports for dxdiag, but am not installing the Intel drivers as I've had way to many problems getting this new system working properly with the new GTX 9xx cards and drivers. I am fed up with this new computer, my old one was much more stable, not worth the upgrade imho...
