centos 6.4 intel rst 82801 and raid1 hotspare problem

    sles

      Hello!

I run centos 6.4/x86-64 server with intel 82801 and raid1.

      mdstat looked like this:

      md127 : active raid1 sda[1] sdb[0]
      41943040 blocks super external:/md0/0 [2/2] [UU]

      md0 : inactive sdb[1](S) sda[0](S)
      6306 blocks super external:imsm

      Today I added spare- /dev/sdc, I executed
      mdadm -a /dev/md0 /dev/sdc
      according to
      http://download.intel.com/support/chipsets/rste/sb/intelr_rste_linux.pdf

and got something like this ( this is from above pdf):

      md0: inactive sdc[2](S) sdb[1](S) sda[0](S)
      3315 blocks super external:imsm

Then I rebooted server and there is info from bios during boot that 2 drives are in array and 1 drive is spare.
      Looks good.

But when I look into mdstat I see:

      cat /proc/mdstat
      Personalities : [raid1]
      md126 : inactive sdc[0](S)
      1105 blocks super external:imsm

      md127 : active raid1 sda[1] sdb[0]
      41943040 blocks super external:/md0/0 [2/2] [UU]

      md0 : inactive sdb[1](S) sda[0](S)
      6306 blocks super external:imsm

      unused devices: <none>

Looks like another array was created and no spare.
Is this OK or I missed something?

      Thank you!
