Hi Mrs D,
The problem you are facing could be because of a multiple reasons which I can't comment on with assurance without either physically troubleshooting it however here are a few scenarios that you can look into and either one could be the root cause to your problem. But before you proceed with the following, could you kindly tell us if;
- Your PC has been behaving this way from day one?
- You added / replaced a new component to your PC?
- You added a new software / applied a patch to your OS lately?
Possibilities you can try:
Troubleshooting System Boot Issues: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-010254.htm#slowboot (You might want to look up Settings Were Changed in BIOS under the section System Used to Boot up and Now Does Not ... or ... Resolving Slow Boot Times under Other Boot Issues section)
Check for Viruses: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-010245.htm
Please look up the following and let us know if you still encounter any problems resolving either of the issues and we'll proceed helping you get the issue resolved.
Thank you, have a nice day!
