In need of some help with a cpu

Can anyone please advise me about my cpu,

I have an Intel desktop D101GGC motherboard with a 2.8gh celeron D processor 335j ( LGA775 socket) and I was thinking of upgrading the cpu to a Pentium core 2 Duo 3.00gh.

I did have a look at the processer compatability but that was not much help so I would be grateful if anyone could give me any advice as to weather it would work alright in my system.
