Tested processor list at
http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-030213.htm for the S5520HC, and http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-030213.htm for the S5520SC
I see the L5630, and it has an entry on ARK at http://ark.intel.com/products/47927/Intel-Xeon-Processor-L5630-12M-Cache-2_13-GHz-5_86-GTs-Intel-QPI?q=l5630 , but I don't see an L5639 on ARK at all, or on the Tested processor lists. Is it an OEM-only processor, maybe?
Yes, I think L5639 is a OEM CPU, many DELL and HP Server have this CPU!
I think it is as L5640, only fewer MHz.
Do someone know if this CPU will work on S5520HC/SC (with latest BIOS) ?
I would not trust it to work reliably. It would be okay in a lab-only environment, but I would be very hesitant to put it in as a production server.
I use now for few Days the Intel L5639 CPUs, no problems, they are working!
