Hi there,

I have this problem where my computer freezes very regularly. Sometimes it sort of comes right after a few minutes, and other times it comes up with this error.

I have updated to the recent driver I think(?) and have tried to do anything I can, but it stil persists... Can someone please provide help?

Here is the report thingy that seems to be asked for:

Hello timand,

Note that at this point, based on the dxdiag report, you have the latest driver version .3062 from our side.

I recommend you, uninstalling the driver from the Control Panel and then installing it again. You can download the driver at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22628&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%2864-bit%29*&DownloadType=%0A%09%09%09%09%09%09%09Drivers%0A%09%09%09%09%09%09

It is also important to mention that the driver we provide is a generic driver. This is because we provide the hardware to the system manufacturer and they will design and create the drivers specifically for theirs systems according to their customer needs.

As mentioned before, I recommend you installing our driver but if issue persists, I would suggest you contacting Dell in order to get their custom drivers.

Thanks Kevin.

I uninstalled and reinstalled but this didn't help.

Is it strange that the error message I get...

"intel graphics accelerator for windows 8 (r) stopped responding and has been successfully recovered"

...refers to windows 8 when I am actually using windows 7? Do I have the wrong driver?

Looks like the next step is a different driver, is that correct?

Many thanks,

Tim
