.3071 driver keeps reverting back

Hey all,

I'm running an Alienware m11x Windows 8 64-bit with dual graphics (Intel HD 4000 and nVidia GeForce GT 650M) and the intel HD driver version 9.18.10.3071 keeps automatically rolling back to 9.17.10.2948 (I think, or something similar) calling it an update. I can quite easily get back to .3071 by re-running the installer or (funnily enough) by using the "Roll Back Driver" function in device manager.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I have already disabled automatic updating of windows drivers.

Does bumping help on these forums? Either way, I'd really like it if someone could give me an idea of what might be going on.

It seems as if it's windows update reverting my driver. I isolated this specific update. Do you guys reckon it could be causing my issue?

You may need to disable that update or configure the Windows* updates to ask you before any update can be installed.

Those updates provided by Microsoft* are generic drivers directly provided by them and would not be the same as the ones posted on our site
