Intel DBS1200BTSR + Port Multipliers?

Hi Intel Community,

I'm building a NAS and am aiming at using the Intel DBS1200BTSR motherboard for it and I've got two questions.

1.

Can the Intel DBS1200BTSR be used with Sata port multipliers?

For example:

or

http://www.addonics.com/products/ad5sapm.php http://www.addonics.com/products/ad5sapm.php

Note that both don't slot into PCI lanes.

The board has the 202 Chipset in it, but I couldn't find if it can or can't support it.

2.

What is the advantage/disadvantage of choosing the Core i3-3220T over the Xeon 1220Lv2?

From what I can find, they are very similar except the i3 doesn't have VT-d or turbo boost 2.0. But it has inbuilt graphics and Idle C-states. While the Xeon does have the former two but not the latter two.

Are C-states as good as turbo boost for someone concerned about power consumption?

Thanks,

Paul
