Hi I am using the Intel onboard ICH9R Raid controller (Gigabyte GA-P35-Ds3r mo brd), however I mistakenly changed BIOS from Raid to Non Raid setting and then back again and now I can not boot from either Raid disk or the Vista Recovery CD!!!
This occurred after moving the PSU to test another PC. When I reconnected PSU it all went to custard from there.
Is the ICH9R RAID controller dependant on any driver files stored on the HDD in order to see the RAID Volumes?
Or is it likely to be the Master Boot Record that's stuffed up and now doesn't now where to look for my RAID Volumes
How can I get my OS to boot again with out loosing Data off the RAID1 Mirror drives and volumes on the RAID aray? (i.e. I am hoping to find a solution that doesn't require OS & APPS re-installation)
However, If I do have to reinstal my OS is it better to install OS and Apps onto another NON-RAID disk rather than onto a RAID Volume?
