I am thinking about putting windows 8 enterprise so I can support Remote FX, I have a compatable graphics card, and according to intel's information at this link
http://ark.intel.com/products/52213/Intel-Core-i7-2600-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz ARK | Intel&# 174; Core™ i7-2600 Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)
my processor support EPT which is needed to support remote FX. However, when I run the intel processor ID utility is says it does not support either virualization technology or intel VT-x with EPT? I included a screen shot at the bottom. I am running an mobo with the Z68 chipset. I have the virtualation tech turned on in the bios, and I am running the latest bios update that supports Windows 8. Can anyone tell me why when Intel says my processor should support it, but their own utility tells me something else?

Hello Charles,
This CPU should support it.
Please check the following:
In the Processor ID utility, go to the CPUID tab and make sure all they fields are filled in.
What OS are you using? Not all Windows versions support virtualization and that would probably be reflected on this screen. See this page for a list of versions that support virtualization:
- o http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Virtual_PC# Table_of_supported_operating_systems http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Virtual_PC# Table_of_supported_operating_systems
If all that checks out then refer them to this page, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977206 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977206.
Microsoft has a tool that can help identify if all requirements are in place for virtualization.
