If I were you I would go back to the place of purchase and get them to RMA the board for you - if you have no luck you should probably contact Intel technical support and pursue an RMA that way. It sounds like excess residual power in the board somewhere!
I appreciate for your help on this one, 3beepz.
Prowler, if your reseller is not helping you, contact Intel Customer Support.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks a lot for the quick replies, i just sent an email to the retailer i bought the card from and hopefully they will send me a new card or atleast offer to "repair" it ... though ill call hell and see if its snowing first ;-) .
Ill post here when i get a response.
Thanks again guys!
I have other problem with noise on my DG45FC.
When the system boots XP there is a noise going from throttle near processor.
And this noise ENDS when I plug usb-flash in usb port, and if I unplug it, noise starts again.
Is it fixible by firmware?
P.S. in vista there is another way to stop this noise - activate multimonitor config. )
@ inandr, i have the same problem, i try with new psu, new hdd, with xp, vista, windows seven, ubuntu and with miniPE. with miniPE form usb pen drive there is no noise.
i'm going to contact intel again, because i think is a very big problem, it is the SECOND dg45fc with the noise that i bought.
maybe a driver problem or a bios problem but they MUST be fix it.
