        Hi,

I am new to this discussion but have had the same problem for a long time now.

On older router there is no issue with speed of 54Mb

Newer router works fine on 130Mb... UNTIL an iphone connects to the same router. From that moment onward I cannot gain a proper connection anymore, it just connects fails to establish porper connection (or limited without Internet), disconnects and tries again.

The only thing I can do is use a cable connection or kill the iPhone and restart evrything..

        Any ideas??

        Thanks

Is Intel listening to consumer problem? With that many users complaining about the same issue Intel has not reply or any new driver yet.

For those who were not able to fix the issue with the latest drivers, we are looking for volunteers willing to assist testing and debugging drivers. The people who would like to help with this task must be using our latest driver (15.10.3.2 for Windows* 8) and still have connection drops. Please note the following considerations:

                • Be a technical savvy person in wireless networking.
                • Be willing to install/uninstall drivers and provide feedback.
                • Have software skills. If possible, knowledgeable in software debugging.
                • If possible within the United States (Portland, Oregon is a plus).

In order to participate please send me a private message.

This is the usual issue I have with the adapter. A colleague with the same 6300 AGN adapter has the same issue in Windows 8.

Windows 7, this wasn't an issue.

The issue appears to arise whenever there is a small amount of throughput traversing the adapter. If the adapter is idle the pings stablise.

It also happens used with any access point, DLink, Netgear, HP, Cisco etc.

This happens on all driver version, through 15.10.3.2, the Microsoft supplied driver and the latest 16.1.5.

Happy to beta test a driver - i have the technical nouse for it.

How many year does Intel take to resolve this issue?

Now its beyond waiting period and @least I am planning to legal action against INTEL.

In case anyone else find this useful...

I was having lots of disconnect issues on Win8.1 x64. On Windows 7 it worked perfect. So, on Win8.1 I have downgraded the drivers to 14.0.1.2 using the Dell download file R292654 and everything is working perfectly.

Both the shipped Win8.1 drivers, and the Intel drivers for download, have disconnection problems. 14.0.1.2 is fine.

We are having this issue with out of the box HP EliteBook 8470p's we have 6 of them all with this issue. I updated to the newest driver for Windows 7 64bit and it now doesn't even connect for a second. So far the only working fix that we have it we went out an purchased USB wireless adapters and they work 100% no dropped connection.

                          RoRam

I have a HP EliteBook 8540W and I had connection drops and really high pings (to an internet website or a local device) or timeouts with the newest driver on Windows 7. Or when I downloading something big the connection drops for a few seconds and then goes back downloading, and so on. So I rolled back the driver to the default Windows 7 driver from 2010... after that no problems.

So i'm using Windows 8 for over a year now. With the default driver:

                          Driver Provider:         Microsoft Corporation

                          Driver Date:               7-10-2011

                          Driver Version:          14.2.1.3

Without any problems. Can download to the max without any connection drops on 2 or 5 GHz...

But sometime today I did an Windows Update... and the system decided to update my Intel Wifi Centrino Ultimate N6300 AGN... so I did not noticed it because at work I use a LAN cable. So when I got home I tried to move some stuff from my USB to my NAS. And I got frustrated because it just went so slow and I opened up a CMD windows and did a ping -t for a website and a local device... lots of timeouts and connections drops... really high pings...

So I was thinking I did installed a lot of updates so I checked the driver... and voila some driver of Intel from august 2013. I did a roll back to the above default Windows 8 driver and presto no more problems.

I have this problem for years. And it is the new driver of Intel itself, the 'stock' driver from Windows never gave me any problems.

They should just compare those two. Why should a driver which is over 2 years old work better than the latest Intel Driver ?

And don't give me this crap regarding the 'newest' wireless router with the latest firmware, because I am myself an IT engineer with many years experience (don't get me wrong I still can learn new things) and with the Windows 7 setup I have had almost every wireless router you can think of (because I thought that was the issue) like the 'famous' Linksys E4200. And I played around with 'dd-wrt' software also. Did not made a difference.

After a lot of wireless routers (easy for me to test any wireless router, because I could take and test router from my work, as we have a lot of different wireless routers in stock) I finally bought the D-Link DIR-855 Xtreme-N Duo Media Router. Still the same problems... then reverting back to the stock Windows drivers... problem solved.

I even put the E4200 back as a test and that gave me also excellent speed, though I did kept the D-Link and now I got a wireless speed of 125 Mbps (yes 15,5 mb/s download.. ;-)) continuously without any drops....

So my opinion... Intel = buggy drivers keep with stock if you have any problems.

It's Intel's business to sort this out...

For now I am using Intel Wireless 14.2.0.10_DS64, on Windows 7 x64 SP1, on a Probook 6560b, with upgraded Intel(R) Centrino(R) Ultimate-N 6300 AGN, they seem to be the most stable so far, but can't find them anymore in the download section (good thing I've archived them)

I have the same problem: I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X230 with Windows 8.1 and I tried the drivers delivered with Windows 8.1 as well as the latest Intel drivers from December. I still get the limited connection error even though the routers I tested don't show any error and other connected devices work properly. I used the Netgear WNDR4300 router and the Netgrear R7000 and they work without a problem with other devices. Only my laptop with Intel Centrino Ulimate N6300 AGN has constantly issues. Looks like the problem is not fixed even after 1 year. bad job Intel.

Thanks for this information Jim, it has been very helpful.

We have a number of laptops in our environment that were suffering from connectivity issues.

So far I've "updated" one of them to this older driver and it seems to be working so far. The system is an HP 8560W and is running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

For reference the system was using 15.9.0.5 (2013-06-16, from Intel driver package 16.6.0 ) and now is using 14.0.1.2 with much better results.

I'll be testing the older driver out on a couple other systems but I think we may have a winner.

I am having disconnects every day, using driver version 15.10.5.1 on my ASUS U500.

Have tried windows, asus and intel drivers, nothing works...

Is intel still watching this BIG issue ?
