      i/o addresses like 0x2E, 0x2F, 0x61, 0x4E, 0x4F, 0x63, 0x65, 0x67, 0x68,0x6c, 0x70, 0x80, 0x92, 0xB3, 0xB2, 0x400-0x47F, 0x480-0x48F, 0x680-0x69F, 0x1180-0x119F, 0x1164E, 0x1164F, 0xFE00, 0xFF00-0xFF7F, 0xFFFF are defined as motherboard resources. i wanna know that what are these motherboard resources. these i/o addresses are assigned to what? please explain all the resources that are assigned to the i/o addresses mentioned above.

          I was trying to look for the information you asked.

           

          Actually, i will explain how i obtained these information.

           

          Assuming that you are using an Intel Motherboard.

           

          First step: Identify which motherboard it is

          Second Step: Go onto the Technical Product Specification.

          Third Step: Note down the ICH model like 82801GR

          Fourth Step: Go onto the website http://ark.intel.com

          Fifth Step: Paste the ICH category in the search box

          Sixth Step: Download the Datasheet

           

          Check in the Datasheet for the addresses that you are looking for.
