Could you please go ahead and download the latest NIC drivers version? the version 18.1 has been released.
Thanks for taking interest in my problem, Ruben.
I tried the new drivers but no change. But I knew it wouldn't
fix my problem, since I've tried with a WIFI USB adapter and the
same problem persists.
So I guess it is a router or Windows problem. I have
to troubleshoot those instead.
A follow up:
Though I had stopped the Windows Firewall Service,
I couldn't connect to XBMC's HTTP server.
But checking the firewall rules, I had some strange entries
concerning XBMC.exe. Clearing them out, restarted XBMC, got the
firewall message box, allowed access, everything works as normal,
Well, perhaps it will help someone, though it is not an Intel NUC issue.
Hi Per Akesson,
Thanks for you feedback, we will have it on mind.
Are you sure that those 18.1 drivers are valid (or bring any changes) for the NUCs?
Those drivers are not (yet?) listed here: NUC downloads (latest LAN drivers shown are v18.0).
And on the drivers download page that you are referring to: V18.1 downloads the NUC ethernet controller 82579V is not listed as applicable (or is it shown as 82579?).
