Have you asked your laptop manufacturer why your system has a Pentium rather than a Core 2 Duo processor? If the SU2700 is truly a production (launched) mobile processor, you should expect to find details on the following web site: ark.intel.com. If the details for this processor are not in the tool, you might send feedback asking when such information will be available: ARK_Support@intel.com
SU2700 = Core2 Solo 1.3GHz 2MB L2 Cache 800MHz FSB
T6400 = Core2 Duo 2.0GHz 2MB L2 Cache 800MHz FSB
So, the T6400 has dual cores as opposed to the SU2700, which has a single core. Plus, it's quite a bit faster as far as clock speed. If you ordered it
with a T6400, it's not an acceptable substitution by any means.
Thanks for all the help. I returned the laptop and got the T6400!! (plus I even got it cheaper).
Glad you found what you were looking for on processors.
