I just bought a brand new laptop that has Windows 8 and the 4000HD Graphics. In Second Life, the graphics glitch (turning objects and avis black) and gets so bad I either crash out of the game or have to relog. I have looked around and it seems this card has had the same problem since its inception, obviously switching out the card isn't an option, so what is the solution? I love the computer, I've only had it for 3 days, but I am on the verge of taking it back!S

Hi Lynne Villarreal,
The game you are trying to play is not in our Game Playability list so; it is either not compatible or it has not been tested yet. This is the link to our Game Playability list http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelhdgraphics4000_2500/sb/CS-033387.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelhdgraphics4000_2500/sb/CS-033387.htm
You can try installing the latest graphics driver we have available in our website. Since this is a generic driver we cannot guarantee it will work fine on every OEM system. if the driver does not work properly I recommend installing the latest graphics driver the computer manufacturer provides in their website. This is the link to the driver http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22373&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208*&DownloadType=Drivers http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22373&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%208*&DownloadType=Drivers
I recommend you update the BIOS of the laptop from the computer manufacturer.
Thanks!

The computer is brand new, the bios are updated. This problem has been in existence for this card since it's start - since I read everything I could find. Is there some order that Intel goes in when solving these issues?
