My SS4000-E died. I want to retrieve the data on my 4 disks and have a 2nd SS4000-E. How can I add them to the new box without erasing the content??

quilshan,

If the original disk drives were initialized in the failed system, the operating system that runs the storage system is loaded on the hard drives as part of the initialization process. This means that you can simply move the old disk drives to the new SS4000. It is recommended to move them to the same position in the new as they were in the old system. If the old SS4000 failure didn't damage the disk drives, the new system should boot up looking just like the old one.

Regards,

John
