An error occured while registering one or more components

I recently tried to update this driver.

It sent me to the install wizard and I got no error. But there's obviously something wrong because when I went back to the website after I installed it and it said it still needed to be updated. Anyways, after I installed it sent me to the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver and I got this error.

I have two questions. 1. If I didn't get an error with the install wizard why does it still say I need to update the driver? 2. If an error occured with the Intel Graphics Media accelerator driver why did the file size bump up to 37.19GB file size and my computer's free space drop considerably?

Hello,

In order to answer your questions, please reply with your Intel graphics controller, and your operating system.

If you do not know which Intel graphics controller you have, please complete these steps to identify your graphics controller at the link below:

Hello HectorDelgado,

Note that we have a generic driver available from our side that you can try in your computer. It is a generic driver because we provide the hardware to the system manufacturer and they will design the drivers specifically for their units.

You can get our generic driver for your graphics controller at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22167&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%2864-bit%29*&DownloadType https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22167&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%2864-bit%29*&DownloadType=

If during the installation of the Intel generic drivers you get this message: "driver not validated on this computer", go here for further instructions:

Thanks.
