What can I do when I install an Nvidia GeForce6200 video card and it implies a problem with memory RAM in a desktop board D865GBF?

      mHello:

      I have the following hardware:

      - Intel Desktop board D865GBF.

      - Intel 865G chipset.

      - System RAM: 4 Gb

and the following BIOS version: BF86510A.86A.0077.P25

If I don't install the Nvidia GeForce 6200 video card, the ROM BIOS detects 3288 Mb in RAM

If I install the Nvidia GeForce 6200 video card, the ROM BIOS detects 2472 Mb in RAM.

Also, the video card Nvidia GeForce 6200 has 512 Mb.

Definitly, it is a hardware problem, because when the Nvidia card is installed and I use my OS Windows Xp SP 3, I don't have problems: XP detects 2475 Mb in RAM.

In the same way, when the Nvidia video card is not installed and I use my OS Windows Xp SP 3, I don't have problems: XP detects 3288 Mb in RAM.

I dont't have problems with the OS Windows XP.

I bought this video card because I wanted to install Fedora 17 and this OS asked me a video card with more memory.

I am in this forum because it's a problem related with the desktop board, memory RAM and the Nvidia GeForce 6200 video card.

Do I resign wih this problem?

      Is it logical and normal?

      What can I do?

Is there a solution or I must live with this problem?

Thanks in advanced for your help.
