Well unfortunately, there is still no update for the memory problem. Another thing as well, where many people are wondering when the board DX58SO will support the I7-920 with the core stepping D0, same answe applies for this one.
I hope that you are that:
the best performance is obtained with 3 DIMMs populated = With 3 DIMMs memory operates in three-way interleaving mode–4 DIMMs memory will operate ina single channel mode, approx 5% less memory bandwidth than the triple channel.
Actually, the 4th DIMM is present only to give the total capacity 16GB. Hopefully, soon this will be possible.Kind Regards,Aryan
Yes, will there be a fix to this issue?
I am using 2 kits of kingston KVR133D3N9K2/4G for a total of 8 GB (CAD machine). When I populate three slots, no problems, when I add the last DIMM, it fails to post.
The very odd thing about this is, I built 2 of these EXACT same machines about 2 months ago, and they did not have this issue?
Now I have to tell the client they are getting a 6GB machine when I previously sold them 2 8GB machines.
BIOS 3828 is now available for download at the following location -
It includes a fix for supporting 4 x 2GB DIMMS
So................has this BIOS revision fixed the issue??? Can we put this one to bed.............
