Hello,
I have recently purchased a HP envy m6-1178sa laptop
When I run the windows experience index I am only getting a desktop graphics performance rating of 2.8. This seems low to me for the HD 4000. Does anyone think I need to do anything to make it work better or is this normal? Apparently I have the latest driver installed.
Thanks for your help
Kaile

Hello,
It should be higher than 2.8 for the graphics rating.
Do you happen to have an AMD Radeon HD 7670M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) card install in your laptop?

Hello Michael,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I have an AMD Radeon 7670M. It's switchable graphics. I use the Catalyst Control Center to select what the use the Radeon with. Thanks

Hello,
The reason windows experience index is showing graphics performance rating of 2.8 is because you must use the graphics drivers provided by the system manufacturer since you are using switchable graphics from the Intel HD 4000 to the AMD 7670 graphics card.
You can contact your system manufacturer for drivers at the link below:

Hi Michael,
Sorry for the late response I have been away. The thing is I do the graphics drivers provided by the system manufacturer. They are the ones from the link you provided and are all updated. What else could cause this?
thanks,
Kaile

Hello,
At this point if you are using the drivers from your system manufacturer, and is still 2.8 for the graphics rating. I recommend you contact Microsoft since they are the manufacturer of the application.

Michael
